1970s
In 1971, Seonics began as an Ancillary for Electro-Magnetic Components.
We supplied Pot-Meters and Switches for Radios and Transmitters for Philips and Nelco, and Electrical Meters for various Indian State Electricity Boards. Seonics witnessed intense competition at that time and on the other side, there were potential business opportunities for suppliers to Indian Defence Organisations. This heralded a new era of opportunities for Seonics which resulted in creating strong technical knowledge, to meet challenging requirements of Indian Defence Organisations.
1980s
In the early ’80s, Seonics was now proud and reliable partner for Indian Defence Organisations.
Seonics developed Indigenous communication and Avionics systems for various Aircraft and Helicopters. Seonics developed systems on Form, Fit and Function basis and designed the systems using current trends in electronics components and discarding the obsolete technology. This strategy has served well for Seonics, as this strengthened the design and engineering expertise, and created infrastructure for manufacturing, assembly and testing.
1990s
Seonics was strategically well placed to expand capabilities.
Seonics developed, a wide range of Test Equipment with Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulic, and combination of engineering disciplines for Indian Armed Forces to maintain its fleet of Aircraft and Helicopters. Seonics was strategically well placed to expand further by engineering expertise and skills of people, continual improvement in processes, and being seen as a reliable partner by Customers.
2000 - Present
Seonics witnessed emerging opportunities to further consolidate on the early successes.
Seonics invested in CAD/CAM/CAE Engineering Design Center, Southern Electronics Emerging Technology, Precision Manufacturing, NABL Accredited Laboratory & CEMILAC Approved Products, Fire Detection and Suppression Systems, Ozonators, Aviation Headsets, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Fibre Optic Sensors & Cable Harness.
